30.04.2026 - 13:02In Poland, ten Ukrainian citizens have been detained in a case involving human trafficking, pimping, and money laundering.
This was reported by RMF24, citing data from the Central Bureau of Investigation of the police.
According to the investigation, members of the criminal group were detained in Warsaw, Łódź, and Wrocław. They are accused of human trafficking, legalizing criminal proceeds, including through cryptocurrency exchanges, and preparing to distribute narcotic substances. During the searches, law enforcement officers seized mobile phones, laptops, tablets, data storage devices, and documents related to the operation of crypto exchanges. In addition, drugs were found in one of the premises.
Three of the detainees have already been placed in custody. In total, charges in this case have been brought against 30 suspects, while final convictions have been handed down to 12 people.
Shortly before that, Romania’s DIICOT agency detained two Ukrainian citizens for attempting to send improvised explosive devices through an international courier service. According to investigators, they arrived in the country last autumn and handed over two parcels containing remotely controlled incendiary devices. Both suspects were detained, and the dangerous shipments were destroyed.
