This was announced by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a meeting with journalists.<\/p>\n
According to him, the list was delivered to U.S. National Security Advisor Michael Waltz and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, both members of President Donald Trump’s administration.<\/p>\n
Lavrov claims that Moscow continues to honor the ceasefire, although Ukraine also accuses Russia of violating it.<\/p>\n
The Foreign Minister also announced a new round of negotiations with the U.S., stating that “a second meeting is being prepared.”<\/p>\n
The Russian minister noted that “there are signs of progress and a desire from our American partners to remove the unacceptable obstacles to the work of our countries\u2019 diplomats.”<\/p>\n
\n\u201cA second meeting is currently being prepared. In the meantime, contacts are ongoing via phone and video conferencing. I don\u2019t want to make predictions, but we are seeing progress and a willingness on the part of our American partners to remove these completely unacceptable obstacles, from the standpoint of diplomatic practice, to the normal functioning of our embassies in the capitals,\u201d Lavrov said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
According to journalists commenting on Lavrov\u2019s statement, this upcoming meeting will likely concern embassy operations and diplomatic relations between the two countries \u2014 rather than the situation in Ukraine. The previous meeting on this matter took place in Istanbul.<\/p>\n
In addition, Lavrov mentioned that the U.S. is reviewing Russia\u2019s conditions regarding the \u201cBlack Sea deal\u201d on a maritime ceasefire and has promised to respond soon.<\/p>\n
As a reminder, the last round of negotiations on Ukraine ended with Russia demanding a partial lifting of sanctions in exchange for implementing the ceasefire agreement in the Black Sea.
The U.S. has yet to respond to these conditions.
