October 1, 2024Ukrainian authorities have officially reported fighting in Vuhledar for the first time. The head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, stated that battles are taking place within the city limits.
“Fighting is ongoing within the city, making it almost impossible to deliver humanitarian aid,” he said.
There are currently 107 people remaining in the city, with no children present.
According to Deep State, Russian forces have entered Vuhledar from the west and south.
Ukrainian military personnel describe the situation in the city as extremely difficult. They report that the assault is coming from three directions: Vodiane, Prechystivka, and Pavlivka. The footpath is heavily targeted by mortars and artillery, with the enemy deploying many drones that monitor the entire route.
A soldier from the 72nd Mechanized Brigade stated that when groups of 10 soldiers try to leave the city, only 4 to 6 make it out alive.
The Ukrainian military is running out of food and ammunition.
