Builders of fortifications at checkpoints are being detained upon returning home from work and treated as draft dodgers. They are fined and punished in other ways.

This was reported by an eyewitness of such an incident in a video posted on TikTok.

The man said that he witnessed the case with the builders. He was driving home a group of excavator operators who had been working on fortifications for 2 to 4 months.

“They check him in the database. Oh, you’re a draft dodger! You didn’t show up, you’re a flagrant violator of the law, you have criminal liability – they immediately slap you with a fine,” said the author of the video named Vladimir. After that, builders can be “packed up” or declared wanted, the man added.

On social media, it’s written that the papers issued to the builders of fortifications by the regional administrations are not being taken into account by the staff of the territorial recruitment centers.
