The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine sent an employee of the Prosecutor General’s Office to a pre-trial detention center on suspicion of bribery

The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine has sent a prosecutor from the Prosecutor General’s Office to a pre-trial detention center on suspicion of receiving a $170,000 bribe.

This was reported by the press service of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).

It is noted that the prosecutor has the option of being released on bail set at four million hryvnias (approximately $100,000).

Recently, Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin reported that two prosecutors were caught taking a bribe, with one of them being detained at their workplace. They took the money in exchange for closing a criminal case.
