29 members of the Ukrainian parliament have signed a statement to the police against former adviser to the Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine, Alexey Arestovich.
The initiator of this appeal is MP Natalia Pipa.
“I believe that the Amateur Spy is a real criminal. I have explained this in detail to law enforcement agencies,” she writes.
This action by Pipa is in response to a lawsuit filed by Arestovich against her for the performance of songs by Kino’s Viktor Tsoi by young people in Lviv.
“I believe that Narcissus [a nickname for Arestovich] has directly violated Part 1 of Article 383 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code (knowingly false reporting of a criminal offense). In general, the actions of this individual are directly related to the threat to Ukraine’s national security,” Pipa states.
It’s worth noting that as a result of Arestovich’s lawsuit, the court has already ordered the State Bureau of Investigations (GBR) to open a criminal case against Pipa for inciting interethnic hatred.
