“Stay tuned”: Trump announced major progress in negotiations with Russia

U.S. President Donald Trump announced “major progress on Russia” and urged people to “watch the news” on the topic of the Russia–Ukraine conflict.

The corresponding posts appeared on the White House chief’s page in his social network, Truth Social.

At the same time, Trump criticized the media for distorting the truth about his “excellent meeting” with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“It’s incredible how fake news furiously distorts the truth when it comes to me. There is nothing I could say or do that they would report honestly. I had a great meeting in Alaska about Biden’s stupid war — a war that should never have happened! If I had managed to get Russia to give up Moscow as part of a deal, fake news and their partners — the radical left Democrats — would say I made a terrible mistake and struck a very bad deal,” the U.S. president wrote.

It should be recalled that Trump’s adviser Steven Witkoff described the U.S.–Russia agreements on security guarantees for Ukraine as “breakthrough.”
