October 30, 2025Former head of Ukraine’s state energy company Ukrenergo, Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, has been released from pre-trial detention after posting bail of ₴13.7 million (≈ €279,000).
This was reported by Ukrainian media citing sources.
According to journalists, bail was posted today for Kudrytskyi, who is accused of large-scale fraud.
Tetyana Sapyan, communications adviser for the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), confirmed that the bail for the former Ukrenergo head had indeed been paid.
She stated that the state suffered damages exceeding ₴13 million (≈ €265,000) — which determined the bail amount. However, it remains unknown who exactly posted the funds.
It should be recalled that on October 28, Kudrytskyi was detained in Lviv region and charged with large-scale fraud and money laundering.
According to investigators, in 2018, when Kudrytskyi served as Ukrenergo’s Deputy Director for Investments, he and Lviv businessman Ihor Hrynkevych (now under arrest) embezzled tender funds allocated for the reconstruction of external fencing at electrical substations.
Later, the Pechersk Court of Kyiv imposed a two-month pre-trial detention on Kudrytskyi, with the option of bail set at ₴13.7 million (≈ €279,000).
