‘NATO is preparing for a military conflict’ – President of Poland says
16.07.2024 22:24The average time for completing a military medical commission in territorial recruitment centers takes 5-7 minutes.
This was reported by MP Yuriy Kamelchuk.
The parliamentarian believes that under such circumstances, most conscripts have “no chance” of undergoing a proper medical examination. As a result, individuals with illnesses are being mobilized into the army, who may later be demobilized due to their conditions, receiving military disability status and additional state payments.
Kamelchuk reminded that Ukrainians have the right to request a re-examination by a higher commission.
Earlier, a lawyer explained under what conditions a person can refuse to undergo the military medical commission. If the medical commission has taken place, but doctors “missed” any serious illnesses and declared the person fit for service, a complaint should be written to the head of the military medical commission. Subsequently, the response to the complaint—or the lack of one—provides grounds for appealing the commission’s conclusions.
Before this, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine explained how often conscripts need to undergo the military medical commission. “Currently, the conclusion of the military medical commission is valid for five years,” said Defense Ministry spokesman Dmytro Lazutkin. However, he admitted that due to the ongoing hostilities, the rules might be changed, requiring data to be updated annually.
