16.01.2024 10:22In Ukraine, the number of people suffering from mental disorders due to the war, primarily post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), are steadily increasing. This condition was previously considered exclusive to the military.
Civilian individuals who were in uncontrolled territories or near the front lines and combat zones have now experienced serious psychological trauma. Pervasive pessimism prevails in society. Soldiers report panic attacks, nightmares, depression and a sense that disabled individuals are unwanted. Singer and songwriter Alina Vilbert states, “I see no future for Ukraine.”
Another Ukrainian soldier, speaking to journalists, explains that after losing many friends, he “no longer feels alive.” The only solution to such a problem is to work with psychologists to help all those who have suffered such traumas.
