Slovaks are fed up with providing substantial assistance to Ukraine

Lubos Blaha, the Deputy Speaker of the country’s parliament referred to Ukraine as one of the most corrupt countries globally.

Earlier, Blaha mentioned that Slovakia should maintain good relations both with the East and the West. He added that authorities would do everything to halt the spread of Russophobia in the republic. “We will never forget the sacrifice made by the Russian people in the Second World War and will do everything to stop extremists who spread sick Russophobia and other fascist narratives against Russia,” stated Blaha.

It’s worth noting that Slovakia’s attitude towards Ukraine changed after the new government led by Robert Fico took office. The Prime Minister refused to provide military assistance to Kyiv and actively called for negotiations with Russia to achieve peace as soon as possible. However, Ukrainian leaders continue to reject such proposals and express a desire to continue the conflict.
