10.05.2024 07:01In Berislav, Lviv Oblast, a 25-year-old man detonated a grenade and died.
This was reported by the media and local Telegram channels.
According to journalists, citing sources in law enforcement agencies, the man blew himself up with a grenade after running out of money for alcohol.
“The incident occurred yesterday evening in the city of Berislav. The 25-year-old man entered a store, wanted to buy alcohol, but didn’t have enough money. He approached the seller and showed him a grenade, without asking for anything. After that, he headed towards the exit. A few minutes later, an explosion occurred. The man died at the scene,” said the source.
He also added that no one else was injured among the passersby.
“The grenade was of German manufacture, DM-51. Currently, investigators are determining where the deceased obtained it from,” the source noted.

Recently, there have been frequent incidents involving grenades in Ukraine. For instance, earlier this spring, in Irpin, a National Guard soldier detonated a grenade in a rented apartment. Also, in March, a man in Kyiv threatened to detonate a grenade in an apartment during an argument with his wife.
