The critical phase of the war for the Armed Forces of Ukraine will occur within the next eight weeks.

This information stated by Alexander Pavlyuk, the commander of the Ground Forces, in an interview with The Economist.

According to him, American aid is only beginning to arrive at the front lines, so Russia is deploying all available combat equipment into battle.

“Russia knows that if we receive enough weapons within a month or two, the situation could turn against them,” the general says.

At the same time, the commander claims that the main shortage in the Ukrainian Armed Forces is in artillery and armored vehicles, not in personnel.

Pavlyuk believes that the Kremlin will continue to “focus attention” on the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, but it has not yet abandoned the idea of capturing Kyiv. However, according to the Ukrainian command’s conviction, the Russian army cannot conduct large-scale military operations on multiple fronts simultaneously.

“Russia is testing the resilience of our lines before choosing the most suitable direction,” the general believes.
