In the Odessa region, a Russian national attacked a border guard and tried to take away his weapon.
This was reported by the Southern Regional Office of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The incident occurred on the night of May 9th. A citizen of the Russian Federation, who has a residence permit in Ukraine, assisted a resident of Kiev in illegally crossing the border.
“Realizing that his intention was exposed, the 48-year-old Russian attacked the border guard, inflicted bodily harm on him, and attempted to seize the device for firing rubber bullets,” the statement said.
Now the Russian citizen faces criminal liability.
