27.05.2024 - 09:02In Kyiv region, a young man cut his veins at a territorial recruitment center.
A report about this incident appeared on the social network Facebook.
It is stated that the conscripted citizen of Ukraine, Stanislav Moskovsky, was detained by a patrol before the start of the curfew. The man was then taken to a territorial recruitment center without resisting. According to acquaintances, he was beaten there, his personal belongings were taken away, and he was held until morning. His car was left abandoned in Sofiivska Borshchahivka.
Moskovsky was forcibly taken to a medical commission in the suburb of Vyshneve. During an attempt to contact a lawyer, his phone was confiscated, and he remained out of contact for a day. When a lawyer and an investigative team arrived, it turned out that the young man had cut his veins. To prevent law enforcement officers from seeing him in that state, he was thrown out onto the street in Vyshneve.
Currently, the victim is alive, has received medical assistance, had his wounds bandaged, injuries documented, and protocols were drawn up, including under the article “driving to suicide.”
“I still have a question: how does this contribute to mobilizing to the front and motivating others when an attempt at suicide = psychiatry, and a person who is already registered with a psychiatrist will obviously need specialist help and treatment?” wrote the author of the post.

Later, the press service of the Kyiv Regional Territorial Recruitment Center stated that no one drove the young man to attempt suicide.
“During the citizen’s stay at the territorial recruitment center, no physical methods of influence, moral pressure, or threats were applied by the military personnel of the center. In the premises of the recruitment center, this citizen did not attempt suicide,” the statement said.

The recruitment office claims that the conscript supposedly passed the military medical commission and was declared fit. However, before being sent to a training center for basic military training, the citizen escaped, and his whereabouts are currently unknown.
At the same time, sources in law enforcement agencies informed journalists that the police have already begun a pre-trial investigation into the abuse of authority by the staff of the territorial recruitment center in the Kyiv region.
“The materials of the pre-trial investigation indicate that the young man cut his veins due to moral pressure from the staff of the territorial recruitment center, who threatened him with physical violence,” the source said.
