Poland has closed entry and exit for Ukrainian trucks without a license for international transportation

From midnight on July 1, Poland has closed entry and exit for Ukrainian trucks without a permit for international cargo transportation or an ECMT book.

This was reported by the Ukrainian customs service.

“From 00:00 on July 1, 2024, the Polish side has suspended the entry and exit of Ukrainian cargo vehicles at checkpoints without permits for international cargo transportation (permit or ECMT book),” the statement said.

Checkpoints in other sections are operating normally.

Earlier, Denys Shmyhal reported that Ukraine and the European Commission extended the “transport visa-free regime” for another year. There is also a provision for its automatic extension until the end of 2025.

It was previously reported that Ukrainian carriers would face stricter rules following the extension of the agreement with the European Commission.
