03.07.2024 - 22:58The National Agency for Corruption Prevention of Ukraine has discovered signs of the acquisition of unjustified assets by former Deputy Prosecutor General Dmytro Verbytsky amounting to nearly 29 million hryvnias (approximately 663 650 euros), including an apartment and a plot of land in Turkey.
This information is reported on the website of the National Agency for Corruption Prevention of Ukraine.
According to the agency, individuals associated with Verbytsky, on his behalf, purchased the following unjustified assets:
- A LEXUS ES 300H car worth over 960,000 UAH (21,969 euros);
- A LEXUS NX 300H car worth over 480,000 UAH (10,985 euros);
- A PORSCHE MACAN T car worth 3.5 million UAH (80,095 euros);
- A house and plot of land in Kyiv worth 16.3 million UAH (3,730,173 euros);
- A house and plot of land in Odesa worth 10 million UAH (228,845 euros);
- An apartment and plot of land in Antalya (Turkey) worth 3.9 million UAH (89,250 euros).
Additionally, the legal sources of the origin of cash amounting to two million hryvnias and cryptocurrency Tether (USDT) have not been established.
The case materials concerning Verbytsky have been handed over to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.
It should be noted that Verbytsky was dismissed following a journalistic investigation into the purchases made by his girlfriend. It was reported that in 2024, Verbytsky’s partner acquired luxury property worth at least 52 million hryvnias without having sufficient official income. This included an estate near Kyiv for 48 million hryvnias (1,098,456 euros) and a 2023 Porsche Macan T for 4 million hryvnias (91,538 euros).
