17.07.2024 11:36Limiting the right of Ukrainian conscripts to drive vehicles for violating military registration norms will be quite challenging in practice.
This information reported according to military lawyer Taras Borovskyi.
Borovskyi explained that the territorial recruitment centers will have 30 days to apply sanctions after conducting search operations. During these operations, a district officer will check if the individual resides at the specified address where the summons was sent.
Moreover, the recruitment offices need to have a qualified lawyer who can properly draft and defend the case in court. Often, these centers either lack such lawyers or have only one who is overwhelmed with cases handled by the territorial recruitment center.
Previously, the Ministry of Defense announced that fines for conscripts would begin being issued today.
“Fines for administrative violations will already be issued. Summonses will also be sent via ‘Ukrposhta’. Moreover, a signature is not required for it to be considered received. We do not have any information yet about increasing the number of checkpoints, etc.,” said the ministry’s spokesperson.
