The “Sluga Naroda” party stated that Ukraine cannot pay large sums for damaged housing

The state cannot provide large payments for housing damaged as a result of hostilities.

This stated the head of the “Sluga Naroda” party, Olena Shuliak, in an interview with Ukrainian media.

According to her, nearly 8 billion hryvnias in applications have been approved so far. Compensation has been granted to over 73,000 Ukrainian families, who have either already received funds or will receive them in the future for repairs. The maximum compensation amounts to 500,000 hryvnias for a damaged house and 350,000 hryvnias for an apartment.

Shuliak also addressed the possibility of suspending the “eRestoration” program, noting that no funds were allocated in the 2025 state budget. According to the party head, the 2025 state budget allocates only 500 million hryvnias for local government subsidies for damaged housing. For housing certificates and implementing the third phase of the program, which concerns temporarily occupied territories, the budget allocates zero funds.
