11.11.2024 12:44In southern Germany, near the village of Oberrot, a Ukrainian truck driver was killed by foreign drivers following a dispute about the war.
This was reported by the German tabloid Bild.
The conflict took place at a truck parking lot on Saturday evening. Four drivers were drinking alcohol with music playing. A 38-year-old truck driver from Romania, Ionut, told the outlet that he asked his colleagues to lower the volume of the music, but they ignored the request and continued to talk loudly with music playing. They laughed and then began to argue fiercely. According to the Romanian witness, the topic of discussion was the war in Ukraine and Russia’s role.
After 8:00 p.m. local time, the argument escalated into a conflict, which culminated in a fight. As a result, the youngest member of the group, a 34-year-old driver from Ukraine, was killed.
The participants in the impromptu gathering were arrested. According to police, they are aged 35, 41, and 45. One of them is a citizen of Uzbekistan. Authorities are investigating to determine which of them killed the Ukrainian.
Previously, media reported that in Rostov-on-Don, Russia, a military serviceman shot a taxi driver, a native of Azerbaijan, also over a dispute about Ukraine.
In Moscow, another incident occurred in which a man fatally stabbed his drinking companion during a gathering due to the latter’s pro-Ukrainian views.
