Europe cannot independently deploy peacekeepers to Ukraine without U.S. involvement, says the director of research at the European Council
19.12.2024 - 12:26Ukraine is running out of Ukrainians willing to fight.
This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a live Q&A session combined with his annual press conference.
“Those Ukrainians who want to fight are running out. Soon, I think there won’t be anyone left who wants to fight,” said the Russian leader.
According to him, part of the blame lies with former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who, as Putin claimed, convinced the Ukrainian authorities to abandon negotiations and “fight to the last Ukrainian.”
Earlier, Putin proposed a technological duel to the West in the form of an experiment involving an “Oreshnik” missile strike on Kyiv. He suggested that the West deploy air defense systems anywhere, and Russia would launch the “Oreshnik” at that location.
