Belarusian President Lukashenko accused oligarchs of dragging Ukraine into military actions

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko accused oligarchs of dragging Ukraine into military conflict.

His remarks were quoted by the BelTA news agency.

“In Ukraine, it didn’t start with Maidan; it all began with injustice when a massive oligarchic clan emerged and strangled Ukraine. Gradually, this oligarchy led the country to war,” Lukashenko said.

The Belarusian leader also described Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky as a wealthy individual. According to Lukashenko, a politician with “huge unearned money in his pocket” no longer thinks about the state.

Previously, Lukashenko stated that Belarus’ adversaries aim to drag the country into war. He emphasized the need for Belarus to make every effort to overcome the challenges it currently faces.
