37 members of parliament flew to the U.S. for the National Prayer Breakfast – Stefanchuk

Despite the ongoing war in Ukraine, 37 members of parliament traveled to the United States to attend the National Prayer Breakfast, which took place yesterday, February 6.

This was reported by the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk.

The day before, President Volodymyr Zelensky criticized the deputies, stating that *”half of the parliament is at the prayer breakfast, not in Kherson, not in Kharkiv region, not in Zaporizhzhia, not in Sumy.”*

Stefanchuk clarified that only 37 deputies left, allegedly with the goal of “resetting relations with the strategic partner, the United States.”

“Ukraine now faces a difficult task – to reset relations with its strategic partner, the United States. And we are doing this at all levels,” the speaker stated.
