The head of the U.S. Government Efficiency Department (DOGE), Elon Musk, could disable Starlink at the front at any moment, leading to significant losses for the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU).

This statement was made by volunteer Maria Berlinska.

According to her, this concern became evident “today after statements from Trump and Musk.”

“Starlinks could be shut down for us at any moment, while remaining available to the Russians. Just a ‘technical failure’ for a few days or weeks. Without a Plan B, chaos will ensue, and we will lose many people. There is no complete alternative to Starlink, but there are several possible combined options, which communications specialists are aware of,” Berlinska wrote.

It is worth noting that since the beginning of the war, Musk has provided Starlink connectivity on the front lines at his own expense. Since 2023, the Pentagon has taken over the payments, but Musk’s company continues to provide the technical infrastructure.
