Trump’s special envoy and the Polish Foreign Minister discussed negotiations on Ukraine

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski and U.S. President Donald Trump’s Special Envoy for Ukrainian Settlement, Keith Kellogg, held a phone conversation.

The two officials discussed the upcoming Washington-Kyiv negotiations in Riyadh, according to a statement from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on social media platform X.

“Minister Radosław Sikorski spoke by phone with U.S. Special Representative Keith Kellogg about the peace negotiations between the U.S. and Ukraine in Riyadh,” the statement read.

Both sides emphasized the need for a just peace. Following the call, Minister Sikorski also contacted Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha.

Earlier, Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff stated that during the talks in Saudi Arabia, the American and Ukrainian delegations would discuss territorial issues, a rare-earth metals agreement, the exchange of intelligence data.

Witkoff also emphasized that the U.S. expects “significant progress” from the negotiations in Saudi Arabia.
