14.04.2025 17:52Viktor Haiduk, a cleric of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) from the town of Kostopil in Rivne Oblast, is allegedly involved in a scheme to illegally sell vehicles brought in from Europe under the guise of humanitarian aid for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Local media reported this information, citing sources.
According to the published details, Haiduk allegedly provided his associate with letters on behalf of the religious organization, stating that the vehicles were being imported exclusively for humanitarian purposes and were not for resale. These documents were presented to customs authorities to facilitate the duty-free import of the vehicles.
However, the vehicles reportedly never made it to the frontlines and were instead sold on the civilian market.
Previously, it was reported that the leadership of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, has been conducting internal oversight of its clergy to ensure their loyalty and adherence to church discipline.
