“Germany’s policy of supporting Kyiv has led it into a dead end,” – Russian Ambassador to Germany Nechaev said

Moscow hopes that Germany’s new government will not repeat the “mistakes” of the previous ruling coalition, which, according to Russia, led the country into a dead end by supporting Ukraine.

This statement was made by Sergey Nechayev, Russian Ambassador to Germany.

According to Nechayev, Russia will assess the new German cabinet based on its actions, not its campaign rhetoric.

“We hope that Berlin will draw certain conclusions and will not want to repeat the mistakes of the previous coalition,” the diplomat said.

He added that the previous government’s declared policy of a “Zeitenwende” (turning point in history), particularly in relation to Russia, not only failed but drove Germany into a political impasse.
