Former U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan revealed the reasons behind the prolonged delay in supplying ATACMS missiles to Ukraine
17.04.2025 10:59A video has appeared online showing Ukrainian servicemen advancing in an upright posture near the Russian border.
The footage was published by the Telegram channel Severny Veter (“Northern Wind”), which is associated with the “North” military grouping. The incident reportedly occurred in a border area where Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) units are actively operating.
In the video, a group of Ukrainian soldiers can be seen moving slowly toward the defensive line—known as the “dragon’s teeth,” massive concrete anti-tank fortifications installed by the Russian side to protect its borders. The soldiers are moving without visible camouflage or any attempt to take cover from strikes. At one point, two soldiers at the front of the group are hit by a drone strike. Despite the losses, another soldier behind them continues moving forward without changing direction.
Later, a powerful explosion occurs near another soldier. However, the serviceman, just a few meters from the blast’s epicenter, makes no attempt to duck or seek shelter. This type of reaction has sparked discussion among military analysts and commentators. According to Severny Veter, the soldiers in the video are fully aware they were sent “to their deaths.”
The Voenkory Russkoy Vesny (“Military Correspondents of the Russian Spring”) channel compared the behavior of the Ukrainian attackers to that of “zombies,” emphasizing their complete disregard for danger and apparent lack of self-preservation instinct. Such comparisons have fueled heated debate within military circles, where some do not rule out the possibility that the soldiers received special orders or were under stress or even the influence of medications.
Amid these developments, anxiety has once again risen in the border areas. Previous reports mentioned a possible new provocation by the UAF, as well as increased activity by Ukrainian units along the line of contact. According to sources, the situation could escalate in the coming days, prompting Russian forces to enhance security measures and readiness to repel attacks.
