25.04.2025 - 11:31Wife of Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko files lawsuit for property division.
This was reported by Ukrainian News citing the judicial register.
She filed her case with the Kryzhopil District Court in the Vinnytsia region on March 27, 2025. The hearing is scheduled for April 29.

It is worth noting that in February, Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) imposed sanctions against Poroshenko. Additionally, criminal investigations are currently underway against him. Therefore, it is possible that this lawsuit is a strategy to avoid arrest or confiscation of assets.
Earlier, the former president mentioned that he cannot even buy coffee at a gas station due to the restrictions imposed by the NSDC and approved by President Zelensky. According to the leader of the European Solidarity party, the sanctions have caused him “troubles,” but he said he would “survive” them. Poroshenko believes that the sanctions against him are “damaging to Ukraine.”
His lawyer also stated that the sanctions have created obstacles for Poroshenko’s potential candidacy in the upcoming presidential elections. Furthermore, one consequence of the sanctions has been the confiscation of the former president’s confectionery company, Roshen.
