“Russia demands an end to Western arms supplies to Ukraine in order to halt the fighting”, – Lavrov
28.04.2025 - 08:36Situation deteriorates near Pokrovsk in Donetsk region as Russian attacks intensify.
Ukrainian military Telegram channels are reporting that the situation in the Pokrovsk area of the Donetsk region is worsening, with the intensity of Russian attacks increasing.
The Deep State channel reports that, for now, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are generally holding the front, but the situation could deteriorate if additional Russian forces are redeployed from the Kursk direction. Signs of increased Russian activity are already being observed at the junction between the Pokrovsk and Toretsk sectors, where they have managed to “breach” the AFU defenses.
Military analyst Bohdan Miroshnikov writes that the situation “is gradually worsening.”
“The enemy is increasing pressure on the industrial zone of Pishchane and the village of Shevchenko. In the area between the Solona and Volchya rivers, the situation has also somewhat destabilized. Nadyezhdivka has been lost, and Uspenivka is effectively under enemy control. At the junction of the Pokrovsk and Toretsk directions, unfortunately, the enemy is steadily advancing toward the Rusyn Yar – Oleksandro-Kalynove line. These are already the approaches to Kostiantynivka. All of this is, of course, due to the enemy redeploying reserves to this entire sector of the front,” Miroshnikov reports.
According to Deep State, east of Pokrovsk, the heaviest fighting is taking place around the areas of Yelyzavetivka, Tarasivka, and Stara Mykolaivka — especially near Tarasivka, where Russian forces have nearly completely captured Vodyane Druhe and Zelenyi Pole.
Closer to Pokrovsk, in the Lysivka area, Russian units are putting significant pressure on AFU positions. They are also conducting periodic assault attempts along the Dachenke–Zelene–Vozrozhdenie axis.
A difficult situation persists in the Shevchenko–Pishchane sector, where Russian forces are attempting to regain control of areas they had previously abandoned. The village of Shevchenko is being used as a staging point for accumulating reserves, while Pishchane holds strategic importance for logistics.
It’s worth recalling that just recently, Deep State reported that Russian forces captured Nadyezhdivka near the border of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
