Former diplomat Telizhenko accused the Ukrainian authorities of selling out the country
02.05.2025 14:14Alexander Bohuslayev, the son of former “Motor Sich” president Vyacheslav Bohuslayev, has been detained in Monaco on suspicion of embezzling company assets.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
According to investigators, the father and son deliberately undervalued shares of the state enterprise, acquired a controlling stake, sold it for $650 million, and then transferred the money to the son’s offshore accounts. The shares were later sold to foreign companies, and the profits were used to purchase luxury real estate in the European Union.
As part of the international investigation, simultaneous searches were conducted at the detainee’s seaside villa in Monaco and at the premises of affiliated individuals in Zaporizhzhia.
Bohuslayev’s son faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of assets.
It should be noted that Bohuslayev Sr. has been held in a pre-trial detention center since 2022. He is suspected of collaboration, aiding an aggressor state, and supporting a terrorist organization.
In 2023, an additional charge was brought against him. Bohuslayev refused to hand over a Mi-2 helicopter to military intelligence. On his orders, workers removed the rotor blades and disabled mechanisms critical to the helicopter’s operation.
