The location where foreign mercenaries are trained in Ukraine has been revealed
27.05.2025 - 12:30The commander of the foreign mercenary unit in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Chosen Company, Ryan O’Leary, has announced the disbandment of the military formation.
He shared this on the social media platform X.
“Chosen Company is ceasing its activities and separating from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. An official statement will be published once I finish my contract and can speak freely without violating Ukrainian military laws and regulations,” he wrote.
Earlier, the Belgian mercenary Jacques Martin, who fought on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, was put on an international wanted list. According to investigators, in March 2022, the mercenary arrived in Ukraine and joined the ranks of the International Legion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, where he underwent military training and later took part in combat against the Russian army.
Prior to this, the Supreme Court of the Donetsk People’s Republic had sentenced in absentia a Colombian citizen to 13 and a half years in a maximum-security colony for mercenary activities on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The foreign fighter participated in combat against the Russian army until February 2025, for which he received more than 1.5 million rubles.
