“Even before, he wasn’t a psychologically stable person. But now, in my opinion, he is in a state of agony,” Azarov said.

He pointed out that Zelensky’s relationship with the United States has deteriorated, despite the U.S. under former President Joe Biden being Ukraine’s main sponsor. Azarov also noted a decline in Western Europe’s interest in the conflict, and claimed that Zelensky is aware of his falling popularity at home.
