Trump pushed Ukraine into the background at the NATO summit in The Hague
26.06.2025 - 13:5972.3% of surveyed Ukrainians believe the war should be ended in some way along the current front line.
This is according to a poll conducted by the Center for Social and Marketing Research “SOCIS,” the Institute for Strategic Studies and Forecasts “Janus,” and the publication Barometer of Public Sentiment.
According to the data: 55.7% of respondents said there is a need to “seek a compromise solution involving leaders of other countries to end the war.” 16.6% believe in “a suspension of hostilities and a temporary freeze of the conflict along the current line of contact.”
At the same time, 21.4% want to continue fighting: 12.8% until Ukraine regains its 1991 borders, 8.6% until the February 23, 2022 borders (just before Russia’s full-scale invasion).
An additional 1.2% chose another option, and 1 in 20 respondents either refused to answer or said they didn’t know.
It’s also worth noting that the share of those who support giving up territory to end the war and preserve the country’s independence has risen in the past six months and now stands at 38%.
