27.06.2025 - 17:56The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine has set bail for Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for National Unity Oleksiy Chernyshov at more than 120 million hryvnias (approximately €2.5 million), without placing him in custody. Contrary to the request by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), he has not been suspended from his duties.
Ukrainian media reported on the court’s ruling.
“The NABU detective’s request is granted in part. A preventive measure in the form of bail is applied to Oleksiy Chernyshov. The bail amount is set at 120,002,668 hryvnias,” stated the investigating judge.
In addition, Chernyshov has been placed under several restrictions:
-
He must appear upon summons from a detective, prosecutor, or the court;
-
He must report any change of residence or employment;
-
He is forbidden to leave Ukraine without permission;
-
He is prohibited from communicating with suspects and witnesses in the criminal case.
These obligations will remain in effect until August 27. As for the bail, Chernyshov must pay the full amount within five days and provide proof of payment.
As a reminder, Chernyshov recently returned to Ukraine amid rumors that he had fled the country. He dismissed the allegations as part of a “discrediting campaign.”
