In the Dnipropetrovsk region, organizers of illegal call centers were driving vehicles equipped with electronic warfare systems

A large network of illegal call centers has been uncovered in the Dnipropetrovsk region, with the organizers using vehicles equipped with electronic warfare (EW) systems.

This was reported by the Press Service of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

The call center operators posed as bank employees to deceive people and gain access to their bank cards in order to steal their money.

“Pre-trial investigations have established that a criminal organization is operating in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The members created a sophisticated infrastructure of fake financial services. Disguised as brokerage firms on the internet, they set up so-called call centers that carried out fraudulent activities related to investing, stock market trading, and the use of cryptocurrency platforms. In reality, their operations were aimed at taking citizens’ money,” the statement said.

It was noted that prosecutors conducted searches at 25 locations, including in Dnipro and Kamianske.

More than 1,220 computers were seized, as well as vehicles equipped with electronic warfare systems, fake IDs — including ones falsely claiming affiliation with the FSB (Russian Federal Security Service).
