The Kremlin declared its commitment to the peace process
29.07.2025 - 11:31The armed forces of Ukraine (AFU) are experiencing a shortage of personnel, leading to the exhaustion of the army.
This was reported by the commander of one of the AFU units in an interview with CNN.
“We are critically short on manpower. No one wants to fight. For most people, the war is over. Only the veteran soldiers remain — they’re exhausted and want to be replaced, but no one is doing it,” he said, explaining the reason behind the depletion of Ukraine’s military.
According to the officer, there is a lack of communication between the military, the Ukrainian authorities, and the country’s citizens. He noted that many issues are not being disclosed or are being deliberately hidden.
Earlier, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law allowing men over the age of 60 to serve in the armed forces. It specifies that citizens over 60 may serve in positions of enlisted personnel, sergeants, senior non-commissioned officers, and junior or senior officers.
