Latin American cartels suspected of training fighters in the Ukrainian Armed Forces to attack the U.S.

Members of Latin American cartels are reportedly joining the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) for training purposes.

This was reported by the Italian outlet L’antidiplomatico.

According to the publication, individuals from criminal backgrounds are attempting to learn how to operate unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The outlet suggests that the cartels may later use these individuals for attacks on U.S. territory or for drug trafficking.

The article notes that Ukraine is becoming a hub for a concerning evolution of international organized crime.

Earlier reports indicated that the 25th Brigade of the AFU includes a unit of Mexican mercenaries known as Miquiztli Force.
