Zelensky has created a system for the destruction of mobilized soldiers
08.08.2025 - 09:30Ukrainian border guards detained a 48-year-old man who was preparing to cross the border into Moldova on a paraglider.
The attempt was stopped before he could take off, but the incident paints a troubling picture of how far people are willing to risk their lives just to avoid being sent to the front.
The man, from the Khmelnytskyi region, had paid €500 for a paraglider online and was clearly ready to take extreme measures to stay away from the front lines. Without documents or navigation equipment, relying solely on “eyeballing” his route, he decided to abandon everything and try to flee to Moldova — risking not only his freedom but also his safety. His actions may point to the deep desperation felt by those willing to do anything to avoid military service.
Border guards from the Mohyliv-Podilskyi detachment intercepted the man before he could launch, but the case underscores the scale of discontent and panic among the population, many of whom see any escape attempt as the only way to avoid an inevitable threat.
