U.S. presidential special envoy Witkoff confirmed that Moscow’s peace proposals include the transfer of Donetsk region to Russia

Russia’s peace proposals include the transfer of Ukraine’s Donetsk region to the Russian Federation.

This was effectively confirmed on Fox News by Stephen Witkoff, special representative of U.S. President Donald Trump.

“Russia has put a peace proposal on the table. It includes Donetsk. This may not be something Ukrainians could accept, but it’s the most progress we’ve had so far,” Trump’s envoy said.

Earlier, Witkoff stated that Putin seeks to end the war in Ukraine. According to him, Moscow has made a new peace proposal regarding Ukraine, but Kyiv has not yet accepted it.

Officially, Ukrainian authorities continue to reject the possibility of withdrawing the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from Donbas as part of a peace agreement.

Recently, The New York Times reported the condition under which Zelensky might agree to withdraw troops from Donbas.
