Not serving in the Armed Forces himself: a Ukrainian comedian called idiots the men who drowned in the Tisza while trying to flee Ukraine

Ukrainian comedian Kyrylo Hanin considers it idiocy that men try to flee Ukraine across the border by swimming the Tisza River. He urged men to take responsibility and not be afraid to die in the war.

The actor expressed these thoughts in an interview on the YouTube channel of host Maria Yefrosynina.

The host reminded Hanin of his scandalous line: “I’m drowning in your bottomless eyes, like a draft dodger in the Tisza.”

“That’s not my joke. But the guys who fled the country through the Tisza! You are adults, you have brains in your head. And if your brains only came up with the idea of drowning in a river, well… Sorry, that’s a fact. How can you go against a fact?.. This is the dumbest choice you can make. It’s idiocy! The best way to deal with responsibility is to take it on yourself. Obviously, everyone is scared at war. But now is such a time that anywhere in Ukraine you can die because of the war. A strike, a fragment, something else. So being afraid of this is strange. And to be so afraid of it, in my opinion, means something is wrong with your head. The guys decided to swim across the river, the guys drowned there. That was their conscious choice. Am I not supposed to laugh at this? I will. Idiots!” Hanin said.

At the same time, he himself does not serve in the army.
