Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky declared Russia defeated, yet his country continues to lose territory.
“Yesterday evening Zelensky [said]: ‘Russia is losing in the conflict.’ But today Ukraine is smaller than it was yesterday, and the day before yesterday, and the day before that,” the Western journalist wrote.
Earlier, Bowes mocked Zelensky’s sharp softening of demands. In 2023, the politician promised to take control of Crimea and crush Russia, but in 2025 he called it a victory for Ukraine to preserve at least some territories, the journalist noted.
Before that, Bowes stated that Ukraine is weakening while Zelensky refuses to come to Moscow. According to the journalist, the Ukrainian army is devastated.
