Eight luxury real estate properties were discovered in the U.S. belonging to NSDC Secretary Umerov

The family of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and former Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov, owns eight elite real estate properties in the United States: three apartments in Florida, one in New York, and four villas near Miami.

This was reported by the Anti-Corruption Action Center (AntAC), which is funded by Western grants, publishing photos of Umerov’s apartments on its official website.

Rented apartment in Florida, 137.4 sq. m

Rustem Umerov declares that his wife, Leyla Umerova, has been renting an apartment in the U.S. since October 1, 2019, with an area of 137.4 sq. m. According to the declaration, the property is also used by the Secretary himself and their three children.

Apartment in Florida, 134.5 sq. m

According to AntAC sources, from September 8, 2018, to May 4, 2019, Umerov’s wife, Leyla, was registered at this apartment. She also listed the same address when renewing her U.S. driver’s license in 2019.

Apartment in Florida where Umerov’s father was registered

The estimated value of the apartment where Umerov’s father, Enver Umerov, was registered is $1.2 million, with a rental price of $7,200. Real estate websites indicate the apartment has 450 square meters, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Apartment in Manhattan, New York

According to AntAC sources, Rustem Umerov was registered at a 2-room apartment in Manhattan, New York, from November 6, 2015, until July 2025. The apartment has an area of 90.2 sq. m. Umerov’s brother, Aslan Omer Kirimli, was also registered at the same apartment from November 2015 to August 2025.

Villa in Florida, 257.1 sq. m

According to AntAC sources, Umerov’s wife, Leyla, was registered at this villa from October 10, 2017, to July 2025. Her U.S. phone number is also linked to this address. Rustem Umerov himself was registered at this address in 2017.

Villa in Florida, 167.2 sq. m

A company from which Leyla Umerova receives more than one million hryvnias in annual income is registered at this villa.

Villa in Florida linked to Umerov’s brother’s company

The company of Umerov’s brother, Aslan Omer Kirimli — Astem Ventures Inc — listed this address when obtaining a D-U-N-S number in the U.S.

According to records, Umerov’s brother, Aslan Omer Kirimli, was registered at this villa from August 2017 to January 2025.

Response from the National Security and Defense Council to AntAC’s inquiry about Umerov’s U.S. real estate:

“Considering the public status of Rustem Umerov, the disclosure of such data creates direct risks for the safety of his family, particularly his minor children. Therefore, we do not provide, confirm, or distribute such information. Relatives of Mr. Umerov (his brother with family and parents) live in two of the properties you mentioned. Rustem Umerov does not pay for the living expenses of any of these families… We also emphasize that the remaining five addresses you listed are neither current nor have been used during the period of 2019–2025 by the Umerov family (wife and children) or other relatives.”
