“Melania Trump refused Zelenska a personal audience, although she asked several times for a meeting,” – said an adviser
24.09.2025 07:30Media are analyzing yesterday’s remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump that Europe will help Ukraine reclaim its territories and that Russia is becoming a “paper tiger.” According to assessments, these statements cannot be considered positive for Ukraine.
This conclusion was reached by the British newspaper The Telegraph.
“What at first glance might seem like a stunning turnaround may actually be bad news for Volodymyr Zelensky… Instead of promising new support for Ukraine or stepping up action against Russia, Trump appears to be handing everything over to Europe and NATO,” the paper wrote.
The publication concludes that “Trump is washing his hands of the war in Ukraine…” and that his words sound “as if he has had enough.”
“There are no hints of additional support for Ukraine or that he will punish Moscow further. His only commitment is to continue selling weapons to allies. That is unlikely to change the game,” the article says.
