“Hungary will resist pressure on the issue of Ukraine’s EU membership,” – Orban

Hungary will resist pressure from European Union leaders regarding Ukraine’s accession to the Union.

This was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on the air of the Kossuth radio station.

According to the head of the Hungarian government, Budapest will in no case agree to this, since it does not want to take money from its own citizens and send it to Brussels and to Ukraine. He also noted that Ukrainians are striving to involve Europe in the war at any cost.

Earlier, Orbán stated that Hungary is not obliged to support Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. He clarified that no country has ever achieved entry into the Union through blackmail.
