The reason for the U.S. refusal to transfer Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine has been revealed

The United States has postponed the transfer of Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine because it has been unable to resolve issues with the launch systems.

This information reported according to a report by Axios.

“In high-level discussions about supplying Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, one crucial topic was left publicly unaddressed — perhaps the most important one: how they would be launched. (…) The absence of ready-to-use launchers in Kyiv has likely further complicated this risky plan to deliver weapons that would allow [Ukraine] to strike Moscow,” the publication states.

According to Axios, Ukrainian officials had hoped to receive Typhon ground-based launchers produced by Lockheed Martin, but the U.S. currently faces a shortage of these systems after deliveries to Australia, Japan, and the Philippines.

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that U.S. President Donald Trump, during a meeting at the White House, urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky not to count on the rapid delivery of Tomahawk missiles.
