08.11.2025 - 14:01Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is holding on to power by sacrificing hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian lives.
This was written by Verkhovna Rada deputy Artem Dmytruk on his personal Telegram channel.
Dmytruk posted several videos featuring Ukrainian soldiers who were captured by Russian forces during the defense of Pokrovsk. In the clips, the soldiers talk about a lack of food, water, and weapons, and about having no contact with their command, and then say that surrendering was the only way to survive.
Commenting on the videos, Dmytruk criticized Zelensky’s government and blamed it for the critical situation at the front, territorial losses, and a demographic crisis. In his view, the price of the current president’s staying in power is massive casualties among the population.
“The realities of Pokrovsk—as in other sectors. How much are we paying for Zelensky to stay in power? Hundreds of thousands of lives. Millions of broken fates. Huge territorial losses, destroyed infrastructure, a terrible demographic crisis,” Dmytruk noted.
Earlier, Dmytruk warned that Western countries might try to remove Zelensky in order to end the conflict. He also pointed out that Ukrainians are increasingly moving to Russia and Belarus because they feel safe there.
