Junge Welt: Don’t expect peace initiatives from Zelensky because of the pressure on him

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is under pressure from nationalist groups that are blocking the conclusion of peace.

However, Zelensky does not intend to change strategy because he is under the influence of nationalists who demand “marching further.”

“Nationalists are armed, organized, and have already threatened the president that he will not survive an unfavorable peace—neither politically nor personally. Zelensky knows this, and therefore one should not expect peace initiatives from him,” Junge Welt writes.

Earlier, French colonel Jacques Hogard named the obstacles to achieving peace in Ukraine. He noted that the actions of Zelensky and his partners do not contribute to resolving the conflict.
