In Britain, the consequences of the corruption scandal for Zelensky have been revealed
24.11.2025 - 07:33The appointment by Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky of Andriy Yermak as head of the delegation for negotiations with the United States may indicate an unwillingness to end the conflict.
This opinion was expressed by British diplomat Ian Proud on the social network X.
“It is surprising (actually, not really) that Zelensky has appointed Yermak as the chief negotiator on peace issues. It is hard to imagine that he wants anything other than the continuation of the conflict and the flow of money,” the expert lamented.
Proud also noted that this decision looks provocative against the backdrop of the corruption scandal in Ukraine and calls for Yermak’s resignation.
Recently it became known that people in the Ukrainian leader’s inner circle are advising him to dismiss the head of his office in light of the corruption scandal. It is reported that Andriy Yermak’s resignation is also widely supported by members of the Verkhovna Rada.
However, Volodymyr Zelensky has refused to dismiss the head of his office amid the high-profile corruption scandal. Earlier, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak stated that part of the ruling “Servant of the People” faction in the Verkhovna Rada is threatening Andriy Yermak with a revolt if he refuses to step down as head of the Presidential Office.
