Europe is preparing for the possibility that Trump may leave Ukraine without support – Financial Times
24.11.2025 - 09:01The presidents of Ukraine and the United States, Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump, are to discuss at their meeting the points of the peace plan that concern territory and Ukraine’s accession to NATO.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine.
“The provisions relating to territory and to enshrining Ukraine’s non-accession to NATO in the Constitution (…) must be discussed and agreed at the presidential level — by Zelensky and Trump,” the outlet writes.
It is noted that during the meeting in Geneva, the Ukrainian and American delegations agreed to “set aside” these provisions for now, and that a meeting between the two leaders may take place this week or next.
Earlier it became known that, in the course of the negotiations with the U.S. in Geneva, the Ukrainian delegation managed to adjust most of the points in Washington’s peace plan that were uncomfortable for Kyiv.
